U.S. Senator Tom Coburn, M.D., today announced his endorsement of Markwayne Mullin for Congress in the same seat Coburn previously served for six years. "Markwayne is committed to being a citizen legislator, not a career politician. He has built a successful business, is a dedicated father and husband, and is exactly the kind of person we need in Congress today. Markwayne is a conservative businessman who understands that you have to be responsible with taxpayer money. He is a rancher who understands the 2nd Congressional District and he shares the traditional values important in America right now," Coburn said.
"One thing was clear, Rob Wallace refused to take a position on repealing Obamacare and resorted to attacking Markwayne Mullin’s success as a business owner. Markwayne answered every question thoroughly with conviction laying out his plan if elected to the House of Representatives," said Tim Ross, campaign manager.
Following two weeks of negative campaign attacks by Rob Wallace, the latest fundraising figures released today seem to reflect voters’ distaste for mudslinging. Businessman Markwayne Mullin outraised Wallace two-to-one during the most recent FEC reporting period
Today the Mullin for Congress Campaign received the endorsement of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is a nationwide organization that represents the interests of over three million businesses and trade associations advocating for economic growth, job creation and less government regulations.
Markwayne Mullin is an eastern Oklahoma native, successful businessman, rancher, family man and youth leader in his church. The youngest of seven children, he was raised in the small Adair County town of Westville, Oklahoma.
